Alice Lloyd College is a college-level college art college in Pippa Passes, Kentucky, USA. It was co-founded by journalist Alice Spencer Geddes Lloyd of Cambridge, Massachusetts, and June Buchanan, a native of New York City, in 1923, originally under the name Caney Junior College, as an institution to educate leaders for Appalachia locally. It became a four-year undergraduate degree institution, a bachelor in the early 1980s. Alice Lloyd College is accredited by the South High School and School Association (SACS).

Student life
The dorm accommodates about 600 students, with an average rental rate of $ 1,900 per year. Alice Lloyd College requires students to live in separate dormitories and only allow the opposite sex to gender-specific dormitories during the "open house", after the room inspection has been performed. The room inspection consisted of two resident advisers who went into each room and made sure that it was clean and did not contain any illegal substances. The college is located in Knott County, Kentucky, a dry area, so alcoholic beverages are prohibited.
Professional clothing required all students at the central campus until 2:00 pm. every Tuesday and for all meeting programs.
While the college is not affiliated with religious denominations, the mission statement of the college emphasizes the role of Christian values. In addition, colleges offer courses in religion and have chapters from Baptist Collegiate Ministries.
The college choir is called "Voices of Appalachia." The choir, formed in 1962, toured each year in the spring, performing hymns and ballads. Koor has made several media appearances, including NBC's Today and CBS News Sunday Morning .

Campus

Caney/Berger Scholarship
Colleges have H.N. and Frances C. Berger Residence Hall, also known as Caney Cottage, an apartment complex near the University of Kentucky campus in Lexington. Tim Alice Lloyd College was nicknamed the Eagles. The college is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), primarily competing in the River Country Conference (RSC).
