Muminunnesa Women's College or Muminunnesa College, is a state university located opposite Mymensingh Town Hall near the Brahmaputra river in Bangladesh.

Histori

Founded in 1946 and named after Muminunnesa Khan, the mother of an entrepreneur M. R. Khan. Originally established as a private kolec? The famous social reformer A.R Khan donated most of his finances and helped develop the campus infrastructure with a view to establishing a college after the name of his mother Muminunnisa. Then Mr. Mass Director of Education Md. Shamsul Haq inaugurated the campus on July 29, 1959. The headmaster of the college was educator Alhaj Reazuddin Ahmed. The science group started in the H.S class in 1961. The college was upgraded to college degree in 1963. In March, 1980 the college was nationalized. Honors programs in six disciplines were introduced from the 1998-99 academic session under National University, Gazipur. And the final Master course was introduced from 2001-2002. An honors course in three subjects was introduced in 2006-2007. Honors Courses in Botany and Zoology are introduced in sessions 2012-2013 and 2014-2015 respectively

Level

It offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in various faculties including Humanities and Science. It has a residence inside the campus. The college uniform is a red vest with shorts or white skirts, socks and white shoes.

Alumni

The author and publisher of Bangladesh, Iffat Ara, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College in 1968. In addition, the educators of Maliha Khatun served in this college as the headmaster for a long time.

In June 2007 the Muminunnesa Women's College debate team was declared the winner of a national Debate Workshop organized by the Mymensingh Debate Federation.
