Outdoor recreation

Academics

Religion

Athletics

Mascot Berry College is a Viking. Berry competitive team fields in 23 inter-college sports including men and women basketball, soccer, tennis, track & amp; field, lacrosse, swimming and diving, and golf, as well as men's baseball and soccer and women's volleyball, softball and horse riding teams.

Berry College women's basketball team won the second division national championship in 1976.

Berry is a founding member of the Southern Athletic Association (SAA), an NCAA Division III conference set up in 2011 and starts playing in the fall of 2012. Primary and secondary schools

Berry College Elementary and Middle School is a private school located on the mountain campus of Berry College opposite Frost Chapel. Berry College Elementary School, intended to follow the practice of English enfant schools, was established in 1977. Using the Lilly Foundation Grant, the school was called the Early Learning Center at the Westcott Building and taught kindergarten and first-class students.

In 1988, the school moved its location from Westcott Building to Hamrick Hall, where it is now located. At this time, the age range has been extended to teach children up to fifth grade. Since 2002, he has enrolled students up to eighth grade. A year later, the older students were moved from Hamrick Hall to the newly constructed Cook Building on Main Campus to form their own separate secondary school.

A series of reunion events was held for former students, parents, teachers and directors in 2007 for thirty year anniversaries.

The names of schools have recently been merged into one, Berry College Elementary and Middle School.

Work program

Movies and TV

Berry College has been used as a site for the filming of several films, in addition to music videos by bands such as Casting Crowns. The most famous films are Remember the Titans and Sweet Home Alabama . Disney's Perfect Harmony (1991) was filmed almost entirely on campus in buildings such as Oak Hill, Frost Chapel, Old Mill, and the Ford Buildings.
