ICAT Design and Media College is a college offering education related to design and digital media. It offers full-time UG, PG Diploma and Master Program from 3 years, 1 year and 2 years respectively, in collaboration with Indian and UK Universities. The campus has three campuses around South India: Chennai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad.

ICAT is expanded as College of Art, Animation & amp; Technology. It is managed by Image Infotainment Ltd, an ISO 9001-2008 certified digital content development company. Image Infotainment Ltd is a member of the NASSCOM committee representing the Animation and Games Industry.

ICAT was founded by Mr. K.Kumar, who has 2 decades of experience in digital media. He leads all of IMAGE's business units. He has been nominated as a member of Game and Animation Industry Council, Tamil Nadu to provide animation and gaming recommendations to the government.

Program akademik

ICAT offers a Post-Graduate Diploma in Design & amp; Media. It also offers undergraduate degree programs in collaboration with Bharathiyar University, which is recognized by the Tamil Nadu government, India. It also offers an internationally recognized degree, endorsed by Birmingham City University, UK but not by the Indian government.

History

ICAT was established in 2004, in Chennai. In 2008, colleges set up two new campuses in Bangalore and Hyderabad, India. In 2009, ICAT entered into technical cooperation with Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu to offer BSc Multimedia and BSc Digital Media programs. Then in 2012, ICAT partnered with Birmingham City University, UK to offer UG courses in Digital Media. Then in 2013, the universities collaborate with Bharathiar University to offer BSc and MSc programs recognized by the Government of India and are under the scope of UGC.

Accolades

College rated as No.1 Animation & amp; Gaming College in India, by The Week - AC Nielsen in 2009.

In 2011, the Deccan Chronicle rated the college as the No.1 Animation Institute in South India.

Reception

ICAT offers UG programs to students who have completed 10 2 years of school or a 3-year diploma at a recognized university after grade 10.

The PG Diploma and Master degree courses are offered to graduates from each stream from a recognized university.
