Miles Regis (born November 28, 1967), is a Los Angeles-based multimedia artist whose work exploits exotic cultural emotions and experiences around the world and presents them in ways that are relevant to today's modern society. Miles Regis combines abstractions with figurative works; unclear references to in-your-face writings; a symbolic narrative with a splash of Trinidad color. Artists add to this painting and collage work. Its mediums include oil, acrylic, charcoal, latex paint and occasional newspapers. He works on colored canvas, and some are painted with bold colors; the composition that has been so regard this as their beginning. Over the years, USC graduates have honed a technique that combines drops painting and unique and striking collage work. In a style that reminds many of the master's painters of history, Miles's imagination is filled with ideas, ideas and images that reflect a world filled with conflicting interests. His diverse cultural dualities and perspectives play a large role in the humanistic consciousness he presents in his work. With a broad appeal, his work has appeared in conjunction with CNN, Intel Corporation, Art Basel Miami, Coachella Music and Art Festival, California African American Museum, Million Dollar List, Next World Day, PCHC (Avatar, The Shield), Nicolette Sheridan (Desperate Housewives), American Rag Cie, Manifest Equality, Senegal La Musee Borindar, Adobe, Isaiah Washington (Gray's Anatomy) and several art communities across the country and around the world.

After his retirement, he was appointed as a judge at the Trinidad & Tobago. Miles and his brother Marlon, born in 1971, are surrounded by art as children. There is a constant exposure to art and many genres of music including their original steel drums and calypso, jazz, soul, funk, reggae, and hip-hop. His early artistic influences included many family members and included artists such as his uncle, artist Alexander Sylvester King, his aunt, television actress/personality Stephanie King, herself married to David Boothman, artist, musician and nephew to the Holder brothers, Boscoe and Geoffrey. Miles would later contribute to David and brother Michael Boothman's ensemble jazz Kysofusion as the lead singer for a brief tour that took them to the United States in 1988. Also shaping the creativity of Miles was the producer and musician Pelham Goddard who accompanied Miles in some of his early appearances as well as his uncle, the Jamaican writer and playwright Trevor Rhone whose film The Harder They Come and his next artistic undertaking is undoubtedly a major influence, as he witnessed the success of the writers on the world stage.
Miles painted and appeared as a vocalist for most of his childhood and adolescence. She competes in several art competitions and also sings competitively in the arena of classical music, pop and calypso. After finishing high school, Miles worked as a much-sought-after vocalist in Trinidad. He wrote and sang in several radio and television jingles, as well as recorded and toured as lead singer for the popular 15-member band, Fireflight. It was for two years in charge as the lead singer with the Fireflight that he met his girlfriend Luanne Salandy. The two left Trinidad in 1989 for the US, with Luanne moving to New York and Miles to Los Angeles. Luanne joined Miles in Los Angeles a year later, after she was accepted to the University of Southern California where she majored in creative writing. He is said to be "hardworking, committed and passionate, passionate and sincere, and his work is a reflection of these qualities.Being a father and a husband also informs his work and he seeks to create a better place to live, no doubt for herself, and of course to the children who grew up so beautifully. " While serious collectors can find themselves caught up in the various themes and series that he has developed over the years, his choice of work is also available in print via Edition One Hundred. Miles is also a rare breed that is pursued by celebrities rather than the other way around, and he is a very friendly man to the earth whose perspective is an inspiration to anyone who aspires to a creative career. His work is inspiring and full of rhythm and movement, life, and color. It's challenging and full of depth and meaning. Regis is known for his work with different and interesting drops and collage paintings. He plays with colors and shapes in ways that many other artists do not, creating unique and eye-catching pieces with different messages for his audience. He created art in a way that challenged the public, making them think and look a little closer. The thread that flows through the work of this fertile painter is a strong brushstrokes, free form, all manifestations of a confident spirit. Regis studied painting, singing and writing, working as a singer in Trinidad, then pursuing creative writing at USC. All these influences are visible in his work. The primitive figurative form, often leaning towards abstraction, reflects its classical training. The characters dance in some parts, while the written statement on the painting depicts the background of his creative writing. His work has traces of his Trinidadian heritage. In a 2009 interview he talked about the Trinidia mythology series he had been working on: In Trinidad, there are Soucouyants, La Diablesses and Duennes. I mean, it's based on Trinidad folklore. So it comes from Africa, our African heritage. The really interesting character that we grew up in Trinidad heard about. They are creatures of the night. He also talked about his technique in the 2009 interview with The Art of The Interview: I tend to mix a lot of colors. At least that's the direction I'm headed now. And also mix different textures. Not to give away my secrets or anything, but I mix oil-based paints with many water-based paints. So who am I, a great mix of cultures and experiences and people and variations happen. So everything is revealed on the canvas, the best way I can, you know.
With diverse middle interests, Miles has developed exclusive merchandises for American Rag Cie, Zagg Incorporated, Skin Music and Tonny Sorensen fashion moguls. In January 2011, with support from Intel and Adobe, and along with Art Technology Labs, Miles' 3D Art Project debuted at CES in the famous Intel Booth. Listed as one of 5 3D uses at CES by International Business Times, the project is a one-of-a-kind artistic collaboration using original works by renowned artist Miles Regis and visionary art technology, Brian Quandt. Utilizing cutting edge technologies including 2D-3D conversion, glasses-free viewing and more, the 3D Art Project offers an art experience never before seen to viewers. As viewers see the layers inside the paintings at various depths in 3D, it also witnesses the chronological and emotional development of artwork as they were made - the beginnings of the furthest painting of the viewer, and each additional layer on the plane closer to the viewer. The duo continued their 3D collaboration with Intel at the 2011 Coachella Music Festival. For the Coachella Valley Music Festival and Art and its 80,000 visitors, Miles created a new canvas made into 3D. The work was titled, "The Music Peace." This work is part of a kick-off for an international tour with Project Kreator, a collaborative effort between Intel and Vice, celebrating art, music, and culture. For 2011, the Creator Project toured Beijing, Seoul, Lyon, Paris, SÃÆ' à £ o Paulo, and New York.
