Karin Olah (born 1977) is a contemporary painter, collage, and fiber artist based in Charleston, SC. An abstractionionist, paintings combine fabric, yarn and mixed media. Sport is known in South America for its collage of fabrics that mimics the elements of the natural world. The imagery is informed by quilt-making as well as the pattern and color of light in its current environment in Charleston, SC.
It comes from Lancaster, PA and attends Maryland Institute College of Art. Following an art school, Jobs worked for several years in Manhattan running a textile studio with a couture fashion designer like Donna Karan, Marc Jacobs, and Ralph Lauren. Works are found in private and corporate collections including Carolina College of Medicine's Collections, South Carolina City Council of Cultural Affairs; and Small Tidal Publishers Company.
