Histori

The school was originally started by District Community College Beach as a distance learning college; it caters to the needs of DL residents of the Beach District, while Orange Coast College and Golden West College cater to many needs on campus, with Coastline also using community facilities for site classes. Coastlines have now grown to include distance learning programs and campus classes available on three campus mini sites and other physical locations throughout the district.

Campus location

The administrative office of Coastline Community College is located in an administrative facility covering an area of 40,000 sq.ft. located at 11460 Warner Avenue, Fountain Valley California, 92708.

Unlike most other colleges, Coastline does not have a traditional campus. Instead, instructions are offered on sites throughout the Community College District Beach. The campus has three main campuses based in Newport Beach, Garden Grove and Westminster, with administration buildings (offering registration services, counseling, bookstores, and more) at the Fountain Valley. The Westminster Center is officially called the "Le Jao Center" in honor of the Le family (owner of Lee's Sandwiches) and the Jao family (owners of Asian Garden Mall and Bridgecreek Development), who contribute substantially to coastline donations.

In the fall of 2012, the campus opened a new campus at 1515 Monrovia in Newport Beach. It is home to several general education programs and programs, including Paralegal Courses lectures, Brain Injury Programs, Special Programs Programs, Department of Art, and Digital Art. It is also home to the Veterans Resource Center and the Coastline Art Gallery, a community art gallery open to the public.
