Pune Computer Technology Institute , (or PICT ) is an unassisted private college located in Dhankawadi, Pune, India. Founded by the Society for Computer Technology and Research, SCTR in 1983. It offers degrees in Computer Engineering, Information Technology and Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering.

The Bachelor of Engineering Program in Computer Engineering starts from the academic year 1983-84. This department is known for its excellent results and student placement. There are 10 well-equipped laboratories in the department. The Department has been pioneered as the first Graduate Department in Computer Engineering at the Technical College without assistance at Pune University; with the first batch started in 2000. There are two shifts in the program, each consisting of 120 students.
Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering

The program also consists of two shifts, consisting of 180 students in the first shift and 60 students in the second shift. Founded in 1995, this department has a laboratory with about 25 experimental devices Texas and Motorola. E & amp; TC has won the "Best Department Award" in 2003 and 2004. In 2009-2010, the E & amp; TC has the highest cut-off MHT-CET at the University of Pune from 178/200.

The PICT Engineering Degree Program in Information Technology began in 2001 with an intake capacity of 60 students. The current intake capacity is 120 students. It has a multimedia laboratory, laboratory operating system and a network laboratory along with project programming and laboratories.
Degrees are given
Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) degree is offered in all the above mentioned departments. ME degrees are also offered by all departments. Because PICT is affiliated with Pune University, the degree is offered by the university.
Reception
The institute considers the 12th exam and the JEE-Main students score for acceptance. It is considered one of the most selective institutions that can enter. There are also programs for non-resident Indian students (NRI) on campus.
Campus and building
The campus is located in Dhankawadi, a southern suburb of Pune. This is a really urban campus. The hallmark of the 4 acre campus is the large lawn in front of the main library, which is forbidden to all students and teachers.

Main Building
The main building is the largest building on campus. It consists of administrative wing, Computer Engineering wing, Electronic and Telecommunication wings, IT wing and main library. The building has classrooms, laboratories and staff rooms shared between three undergraduate programs. The PICT library has a collection of books and subscriptions to journals. The library is 24x7 accessible to students and is located between three academic wings. The entire Main Building has unlimited Wi-Fi connectivity except the Lecture Complex.
Male and female hostels have a combined capacity of 200 students and are located north of the campus. All Hostels have LAN facilities, which facilitate unlimited learning. The cafeteria that serves most of the Indian cuisine is located between two hostels. The PICT basketball court is located adjacent to the female dormitory building. There is also a Student Activity Center (SAC) that has facilities for student recreation.

The Impetus and Concept, known as the INC, began in 1990 and soon reached a stage where it created national and international interests. He won praise and industry with his recognized vision of importance and actively supported the event. The concept is a national-level project competition, having students participating from universities across the country. Apart from the technical event of PICT's annual cultural event, ADDICTION, also took place during January.
Ratings
PICT has been ranked as the 8th best Engineering College of India in Edu-Rand Rankings 2016. The survey was conducted jointly by Edu, an Indian company and Rand Corporation, a non-profit American thinktank.
