The Coll̮'̬ge Calvin , formerly Coll̮'̬ge de Gen̮'̬ve , is the oldest public high school in Geneva, Switzerland. Founded in 1559 by John Calvin.

On February 24, 1428, the Conseil GÃÆ' à © nÃÆ' à © ral of Geneva decided to set up a college in Rive after the jug of a tram station (a neighborhood of Geneva), near the Franciscan monastery. In it are taught liberal arts and university studies, which Genevans had previously had to go abroad to study. After the Protestant Reformation, the school was made compulsory and free for the poor on May 21, 1536. A new college was established, this time at the Franciscan monastery.
It was not until May 29, 1559, after the Leges Academiae Genevensis (Ordo CollÃÆ'ège de GenÃÆ'ève) that work began in the actual building of the new officials CollÃÆ'ège de GenÃÆ'ève and Università © de GenÃÆ'è ve. The building will eventually be home to the CollÃÆ'ège de GenÃÆ'ève alone. The original building is now part of the complex, with wings added in the Renaissance, other wings and buildings in the 19th century, and the last building was added in 1987. The CollÃÆ'ège de GenÃÆ'ève was renamed to CollÃÆ'ège Calvin in 1969 , after its founder, French Protestant reformer, John Calvin.

The Coll̮'̬ge Calvin is one of the Postobijatory Secondary Schools in Geneva, especially under Formation Gymnasiale coll̮'̬ges. Students wishing to continue their education pass (mandatory) Cycle d'Orientation entering four-year college from 15-19.
