College GameDay is an ESPN program that includes college basketball and is a spin-off of a successful college football version. Since debuting on January 22, 2005, it airs on ESPN Saturday in the section playing college basketball college conference at 11 A.M. ET on different game sites every week. Prior to 2015, college basketball versions always appeared on the ESPN game location Saturday Primetime . Since the 2014-2015 season, the show has appeared in the top game of the week, similar to the college football version. This program has also appeared on the Final Four website. The official name of this event is GameDay College Underwritten by State Farm .
In 2005, the host of the first four-week event was Rece Davis, but then the last four weeks Chris Fowler hosted the event. Since 2006, Davis has been the exclusive host of the show. Since his debut, Davis has joined Digger Phelps, Jalen Rose, Jay Bilas, Hubert Davis, Seth Greenberg and Jay Williams as analysts. In 2008 during the Championship Week, Bob Knight joined the cast, where he remained until 2012. Andy Katz has also served as a feature reporter who provides news and minute reports.
When GameDay College College gave instructions on the 7th season on January 15, 2011, the show expanded to two hours, with the first hour airing on ESPNU, followed by the second hour on ESPN. The first game of the 2011 schedule marks the first time the event comes from a site featuring men's and women's games played on the same day.

This program has appeared in many different places in every basketball arena. In Kansas, they're in the program museum; in Kentucky, they are at the entrance of the arena; at UConn, they are at the venue; in Gonzaga, Florida, and Marquette, they are in court; and at Duke, they are in Krzyzewskiville, a tent village outside Cameron Indoor Stadium. It should also be noted that in the last few years (except for Final Four), the morning program airing has been conducted in court.
Through the end of basketball 2012-2013 & amp; football season, 22 schools (Boston College, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Kansas, Kansas State, Kentucky, LSU, State of Michigan, North Carolina, Notre Dame, State of Ohio, Oklahoma, State of Oklahoma, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Tennessee, Texas, UCLA, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, and Wisconsin) have hosted GameDay College for basketball and football matches.
Beginning with the fourth season (2008), the basketball version GameDay is broadcast in high definition on ESPN HD.
On January 16, 2010, premiering the 6th season of GameDay College, the event was broadcast live from the women's college basketball website for the first time because it made an appearance at Gampel Pavilion in Storrs, Connecticut. The show included a women's college basketball game between Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Connecticut Huskies.
On March 9, 2013, GameDay College has a doubleheader from two different sites (Washington, DC and Chapel Hill, NC) for the first time in the event's history. On January 18, 2014, GameDay College opened its tenth season with another male doubleheader, this time, at The Palestra in Philadelphia, PA and at Gampel Pavilion in Storrs, CT.
For the 2013 and 2014 seasons, the intro to GameDay College is the Macklemore event 2013, Can not Hold Us .
On April 7, 2014, longtime analyst Digger Phelps announced his resignation and will not return for the 2015 season. That summer, Jalen Rose announced he would not be back because of his priority with the NBA Countdown. As a result of two departures, ESPN announces that Seth Greenberg and Jay Williams will be analysts for 2015 and beyond.
