Ramgarh District is one of 24 districts in the state of Jharkhand in India. It was also a military district during the British Regime, later referred to as Ramghur district .

Introduction and geography
Ramgarh was made district on September 12, 2007. It was carved from Hazaribagh District first. Ramgarh is located in the heart of Jharkhand State. It is a mining, industrial and cultural center with the famous Maa Chhinnamasta Temple. The name Ramgarh means "Fortress of the God of Ram". The Ramgarh district is named after the city of Ramgarh, its current headquarters.
The district covers an area of ââ1,360.08 square kilometers (525.13 sqÃ, mi).

Histori
Etimologi
The word Ram comes from Murram and Gadh is from Beluagadha. In Hazaribagh district, there are sitagadha and Vishnugadha. Thus, the name 'Ramgarh' should be derived by using syllables from these places.

Modern era
British Regime: - The power of obtaining references from the Ramgarh regime was given to the East India Company by King Shah Alam II.
In 1771, Captain Comac was made the Ramgarh District Military Collector, whose base was in Chatra. The Ramgarh military district contains Nagpur, Palamoo, Hazaribagh, Chatra, Giridih, and Kodarma. At that time the headquarters of the Ramgarh Battalion was Hazaribagh, whose commander was a European. District names are often spelled "Ramghur" in the English document at that time.
"It appears that a great social reformer and founder of Brahm Samaj King Ram Mohan Roy was at Ramgarh in 1805-06.He went there with Mr. William Digby who was then serving as Judge and Clerk Ramgarh.Kam Ram Mohan Roy is Sheristeder of the Collectorate and lived in Cahtra and Ramgarh in this capacity when Mr. William Digby moved another here he brought Ram Mohan Roy with him to his new workplace.
In 1811, the Ramgarh Battalion was used to suppress the rebellion of Munda Uraon and Tamad Revolt and Col. In 1837, Ramgarh was a British government police station. In 1938, G.T. new road starts and Banaras road is closed. It should be mentioned Lubia Manghi name. Bainu Manjhi and Arjun Manjhi. In Sitagarh, the coffee harvest is in progress. The name Rupu Manjhi was famous in the first national uprising of 1857.
On January 8, 1856, Sheik Bhikari and Thakur Upraon Singh were hanged in a Bunyan tree in the Chhuttupalu valley. This valley is also known as lalki Ghaati and Bunyan tree called "Phansiyahi boring".
The Hall of Ramgarh Cant was formed in 1941. There are two army training centers i.e.Sikh Resimental Center (SRC) and the Punjab Regiment Center (PRC).

In March 1940, INC 53 Sessions achieved under the leadership of Maulana Abul Qalam Ajad in Jhanda Chowk, Ramgarh now Ramgarh Cant. Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Patel, Dr. Rajender Prasad, Sarojini Naidu, Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan, Acharya J.B. At that time, under the leadership of Netajee Subhas Chandra Bose's conference against Samjhauta was completed as well. In Ramgarh, Subhsha Chandra Bose was seen as president of All India Forward Block and M.N. Roy is seen as the leader of the democratic Radicle party.
Post-independence
After independence in 1947, the district of Ramgarh is now part of the former Hazaribagh district. In 1952 Ramgarh Block was created and in 1991 the Ramgarh Subdivision was formed. The Sikh Regimental Center shifted from Merrut to Ramgarh Cant in 1976. On 12 September 2007, Ramgarh was made into a district of Ramgarh, Gola, Mandu and the Patratu Block, with the district's total number in the state to 24.
Babulal Marandi was Jharkhand's first Chief Minister, Marandi entered the service by winning the Ramgarh vote.
Shibu Soren, born in Nemra village, Ramgarh district, became Jharkhand's chief minister three times and his son Hemant Soren was also Deputy Chief Minister (11 September 2010 - 18 January 2013) from Jharkhand.

On 13 September 2012, Ramgarh became the first district of the country where payment of Government Schemes such as KCC and Indra Awash was done through UID or Aadhaar cards.
On January 8, 2013, the Jharkhand Government has taken the decision to merge the bloc From the Hazaribag district to Ramgarh District and the creation of the new Chaingada block and the Government has also taken the decision to make the new Mahuatand block crave out of the Gomia block from Bokaro district and merge it into Ramgarh district but the decision is still pending because the rules of the President were enacted in Jharkhand on January 18, 2013.
Hemant Soren (born in Nemara in Ramgarh district) was elected Jharkhand's Chief Minister on 13 July 2013.
Physiography and rivers

The district is part of the Chotanagpur plateau. The important physiographic areas in the district are Damodar Trough or Upper Damodar basin or just Damodar Valley. The district's main area is under the Damodar Valley. The Damodar Valley is bordered by the Hazaribag Plateau to the north and the Ranchi Plateau to the south. The Ranchi and Hazaribag Plains are separated by the east-west that run the Damodar Valley.

Damodar is the main river in this district and also forms a large river valley, composed of several tributaries. The most important of these are: Naikari River, Bhervi or Bhera and Bokaro.
In Hindu mythology and Damodar folklore is Nad means the Male River.
The Little River is Hurhuri, Gomti, Barki, Kurum, Kochi, Sherbhuki, Dhobdhab etc.

Geology and mineral resources
This district has a strong position on the mineral map of the country. The district has large and rich coal and coal deposits (CBM) and also has other minerals such as limestone, fire clay, etc.
The Ramgarh district coal fields are located in the Damodar Valley. An important geological formation of this district is the Gondwana System and the stones of the Damuda Group of Lower Gondwana which comprise the most important coal seams. Methane Coal-Coating
Coal-bed Methane (CBM), is a natural gas-friendly natural gas, deposited in coal seams, generated during the coalification process. ONGC does exploration work in South Karanpura Coalfields for CBM.
Underground coal gasification
Coal India Limited has identified two sites to develop UCG with Joint Venture Partners, the Kaitha Block in the Ramgarh coal field under the CCL command area is one of them.
Ramgarh Regency marks a major increase in the collection of mining revenues in the fiscal year 2014-15 as INR 315 crore revenues collected until March 30, 2015 while the collection of mining revenues in the previous fiscal year was INR 287 crore.

Land, climate, forest and wildlife
Land and climate:
Land: Especially the two types of soil found - Tanah Merah and Pasir Lempung.
Climate: The area is located in the sub-humid area of ââthe Chotanagpur Plateau and enjoys a semi-extreme climate type. The day temperature increases by about 40 ° C (104 ° F) during the summer and drops to about 10 ° C (50 ° F) during the winter.
Three broad seasons can be recognized:
- Winter, November to February.

Forests and wildlife:
Regency forest area is 487.93 km 2 (188,39Ã, sqÃ, mi). The district is rich in flora and fauna. The government has planned a deer park in the district. The park will appear on 25 hectares (10 ha) at Gola-Muri Road in the Gola block. The 30 villages in this district are influenced tuskers (elephants).
Demographics
According to the 2011 census, Ramgarh district has a population of 949,159, roughly the same as the Fijian state or the state of Delaware in the US. This gave it a rating of 459 in India (out of a total of 640). The district has a population density of 684 people per square kilometer (1,770/sqÃ, mi). The population growth rate during the 2001-2011 decade was 13.06%. Ramgarh has a sex ratio of 921 women for every 1,000 men, and a literacy rate of 73.92%.
Transport

The district has an excellent rail network. In 1927, the Bengal Nagpur Railway (BNR) opened a 72-mile (116 km) Chandil-Barkakana section for traffic. In the same year, Central India Coalfields (CIC) Railway opened the Gomoh-Barkakana line. It was extended to Daltonganj in 1929. It was then extended to Sonnagar on Howrah-Delhi Grand Chord line and one more branch extended to singrauli from Garwa Road.
Currently the district rail network is divided between two East Central Railways and South Eastern Railway zones.
Ramgarh Cantonment, Mael, Barkipona, Gola Road, Harubera, Sondimra and Barlanga Station are under the Ranchi Division SER.
Road Ranchi, Chainpur, Argada, Barkakana Junction, Bhurkunda, Patratu and Tokisud are under the Dhanbad Division of ECR.
Barkakana is the sub-division of the Railway under the Dhanbad division of the East Central Railway zone. Danea-Ranchi Highway excavation has been announced in the 2013-14 Railway Budget.
New Railroad Project
Ranchi-Tatisilwai-Mesra-Sidhwar-Barkakana-Hazaribag-Koderma-Tilaiya Junction is known as (Bihar)
Ranchi-Koderma-Tilaiya Junction railway station (Bihar) new railway project from the country passes the district. The district between Sidhwar-Barkakana-Kuju and Mandu is complete. The distance between Ranchi and Barkakana by train will be reduced by half by this new rail line. The completion of the project will also shorten the distance between Barkakana, Patna and Delhi. The Bakhtiyarpur-Rajgir line was extended to Tilaiya in 2010. After completing this line Barkakana will connect with Bakhtiyarpur. Rajgir, Biharsharif etc. Tilaiya Junction railway station is located near Rajoli Nawada Bihar district, please do not confuse with Tilaiya, Tilaiya Dam, or Jhumri Tilaiya from Jharkhand.
The 57km (km long) section of Barkakana- Hazaribagh from the new line project of Koderma-Ranchi was inaugurated on December 7, 2016 by Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu in the presence of Chief Minister Raghubar Das.
The special passenger train service begins on March 31, 2017 from Barkakana Junction to Sidhwar station from the new ranks of Barkakana-Ranchi.
Trail run from passenger train between Tatisilwai and Sanki railway station (31.4km) from Ranchi Barkakana the new rail line was done on January 17, 2018.

Roads are the main means of transportation in the district. Three major toll roads (NH-33, NH-23 and SH-2) pass through the district. Jharkhand State Highway Authority (SHAJ) plans to build a four-lane road between Patratu and Dhanbad through Sayal, Naya mor, Chas mor and Raj ganj.

Ramgarh's culture is rich and diverse and as a result unique in its own way. Rajrappa Mandir and Tooti Jharna Mandir is a popular destination for wedding ceremonies.

Duska and Vada are the famous local fast food. Salted Duska is rice and urad dal. The material from Vada is also urad dal. Different types of flowers and leaves are used as vegetables such as bamboo shoot pakoras, fried Pampkin flower, Khukri or mushroom tarkari etc. Khoya spicy Rajrappa mandir is also famous for its dried candied.

Pilgrimage Sites
Tooti Jharna Temple : Located about 7 km (4.3 mi) from Ramgarh barracks on the NH-33 Patna-Ranchi highway a famous temple of Lord Shiva where water from a river falls through a canal in Shivalinga. The Raghu baba of this temple belongs to the nearby Digwar village and hence most of the villagers of Digwar are associated with this temple. To achieve this tample is very simple. Just take the road route Ranchi-Patna and turn right from Ranchi Road. It is very close to the Ranchi road, only 2-3 km (1.2-1.9 million) in front towards Digwar Village Road.
Mayatungri Temple : He is also known as the daughter of the Hills and is 5 km (3.1 mi) south of Ramgarh in the Chutupalu Valley. This hill has many natural scenery and is a beautiful tourist spot. Although located at an altitude of 300 feet (91 m), it only takes 15 minutes to line up its peak. Every year local karmic festivals are celebrated here with joy and fanfare by people from the surrounding villages. It is believed that worship on a hill brings rain to this area. Currently on occasion Durgapuja, Nawratra done twice a year on this hill.
Kaitha Shiv Mandir : This ancient Shiwa temple lost to NH-23 and is 3 km (1.9 mi) from the Ramgarh barracks. It has been declared a National Monument. The temple was built in 1670. This temple statue is very interesting. Shivalinga at the temple is located at an accessible altitude by using two stairs. Detailed analysis of the temple shows that some of its parts are also used for military purposes. Currently the temple is in a dilapidated state.
Kheer Math : In the field of poetry, the Gautama Buddha is the best of both the NH-23 Blok Gola.
Gurudawara Singh Sabha : The Gurudwara was founded and inaugurated by the Sikh Ramgarh community around 1940 in a small room located on Shivajee street in Ramgarh. But today a great structure has taken the form of Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha in place of that small room. This is the center of attraction for the great tomb and minaret of its mosque. Interior decoration hall Darbar Gurudwara Sahib is a picture of bodyguards.
Rajrappa Mandir
The famous Maa Chhinmastika Temple (??????????????) is located at Rajrappa (???????), 28 km (17 miles) from Ramgarh Cantonment at the confluence of the Damodar and Bhairavi rivers or Bhera. The temple finds its place in the Vedas and Purana and has been recognized as a source of ancient and powerful Shakti. The Temple of Chhinamastika is a very sacred and popular Hindu pilgrimage site. Devotees from all over the country visit this holy place throughout the year. The temple is very old and its architectural design is the same as other important tantric temples. Although its beauty is not yet ancient. Marriage is also celebrated here on a grand scale. The headless Chhinamastika Goddess statue stands on Kamdeo and Rati's body on the lotus bed. A number of other temples have appeared around the original temples. In particular, Mahavidyas temples (Tara, Shodashi, Bhubneswari, Bhairavi, Bagla, Kamla, Matangi, and Dhumavati) were built in a series and other temples such as the temple of the Sun God, Lord Shiva temple, temple Hanuman, temple Ma Kali, etc.. In Hinduism Damodar mythology is regarded as the incarnation of Lord Shiva and while Bharvi is Dewi Shakti. The meeting of the two rivers in Rajrappa is considered a fearsome union of Damoder (Lord Shiva) and Bharvai (Dewi Shakti). Bharvi river water flows down from the top to the damoder river that flows below, it also shows the power of Goddess or Devi. Many swim in the river before offering puja (Hindu religion).
Rajrappa is not only famous for Shakti Peeth (????????) but also a great picnic spot. The picnic at Rajrappa provides one with a double excitement because one can get a chance to offer a prayer to the goddess and also enjoy a picnic with fun and food on the river sand amid beautiful natural scenarios of forests, green valleys, hills and rocky terrains. Food, cooking materials, groceries, milk, fresh fruits and vegetables are also available in the market. Now a portion of the sand of the Bharvi River beach is prepared for a picnic by a Samad Samad with the help of a caretaker or agent. They will provide a room with Chatai, desk etc after paying a nominal fee. During the rainy season, sand beaches are under water.

Two days of grand Rajrappa Mahotsav is a tourism event organized for famous & amp; Rajrappa's historic temple in Jharkhand. With the joint efforts of the Ramgarh District Administration, the Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) authority, CSR of the corporate house and the administrative shrine of chinamastika, it is marked as a great success on effort 1. Many famous artists include Abhijit bhatacharya, Pooja gaitonde, Chetan joshi, nambing Padamshree Mukund , Megha Dalton, Bharat Sharma, etc. Done during Mohatsav. The event was held for the first time on 25 & amp; February 26, 2017.
Historic monuments
Mahatama Gandhi Samadhi Sathal :
This stal is known as Gandhi Ghat located on the banks of the Damodar river in Ramgarh. Mohandas K. Gandhi had visited Ramgarh in 1940 during the Indian National Congress session at Ramgarh. After the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi in 1948, a jar containing the remnants of the departed spirit was sent to various places in our country and Ramgarh was fortunate to be one of those places. Samadhi Gandhiji was erected on it. Previously, a place used here on the occasion of Bapu's birthday and anniversary but now this practice has been abandoned. Samadhi is made of Black Granite Stones.
Chinese Tomb : Located 5 km (3.1 mi) away from Ramgarh barracks, China Kabristan is a famous historical monument. At the outbreak of World War II a number of soldiers who rose in history against Mawtse nudged the cultural heroine of the Cultural Revolution and who were also supporters of friendly countries were arrested and imprisoned in Ramgarh. After a few days, this soldier died of starvation and snake bites. The collective cemeteries of these soldiers who died of starvation and snake bites were made in Kabir China where this was a total of 667 graves. In the center of the cemetery a pillar to remember Chyan Kai Sek was founded. The total area covered by this grave is about seven hectares. There is also a Buddhist temple in the vicinity. Three beautiful areas have been around the cemetery. Inside the pucca road cemetery has been exiled with beautiful flower rows. China Kabristan is actually a material witness to Ramgarh's historical history.
Megalithic sites in Ramgarh District: Ramgarh district is rich in ancient and historic sites, different Megalith sites have been identified near Chitarpur, Gola and Kuju.
Nature tour
Nalkari Dam : Nalkari Dam or PTPS Built in Nalkari and several other small rivers is about 5 km (3.1 mi) away from Patratu. Surrounded by hills, forests and rivers, the Nalkari Dam is a wonderful place for picnics and boating.
Fall Dhur-duria : Dhurduria falls near Sidhwar village about 4 km (2.5 mi) from Ramgarh Cantt. The fall is made along the Sherbhuki river. The road only reaches the village of Sidhwar alone so the approach road must be built from the village of Sidhwar to the point of falling. Water falls from a height of about 50Ã, ft (15 m).
Am-Jharia Fall : Located near the Halwadi border and the village of Sidhwar.
Nimi Fall : Nimi falls located near nimi village and about 5 km (3.1Ã mi) from Bhurkunda.
Dhara Fall : Dhara Fall is located near the village of Khakara under Gola Block. The government plans to build an approach road from NH-23 (between Gola and Peterwar) to fall.
Gandhaunia (Hindi: ???????? (???? ????)) : Located about 20 km (12 mi). near Mandu. These are hot springs (ponds).
Chutupallu : Located at about 10 km (6.2Ã, mi) of Ramgarh in Ramgarh - Ranchi NH 33 is a hilltop with stunning beauty. There are plenty of dhabas and motels on the way after crossing Chutupallu that offer good food. The beautiful beauty in the ghats is worth seeing entranced by the very common landscape even if you visit the place a lot every day.
Bankhetta âââ ⬠: Located near Chutupallu. Water falling from a height gives a feeling of rainfall in the cave when a person claps inside.
Liril Fall : Located between Ramgarh and Chutupallu looks like the fall of the old Liril Soap ad. It is popularly known as Liril Fall. Nice picnic spot.
Barso Paani: Located about 30 km (19 mi). from Ramgarh near Charhi to Hazaribag. Water falling from the ceiling gives a feeling of rain in a cave when someone claps.
Hundru Fall: The Hundru falls located near the border of the Ranchi-Ramgarh district are built along the Subarnarekha River.
